As you may be aware Worthing and Adur Chamber of Commerce have launched a tourism and hospitality group.  Let Us Entertain You is the new initiative developed by a working group to highlight the venues and attractions available for business users in the area.

“Tourism and Hospitality are vital in our region”, says Sheryl Tipton, Executive Member and Group Lead, “and this group has worked hard to develop a range of events to really promote all the venues and attractions that make our area so appealing – particularly those not so well known.  In the current economic climate we all need to keep our business local and support one another, so this initiative really aims to do just that”.

The first event will be on Thursday 28th February at West Street Loft in Shoreham’s High Street.  Networking will start at 5.30pm following by a cinema evening at 7.30pm.  To register to attend and find out more about this FREE business networking event please contact us at the Worthing and Adur Chamber of Commerce on www.worthingandadurchamber.co.uk.

Special thanks must go to the following businesses for giving their time to support the venture and forming the working group; Kiddie Coupons, Essentially Worthing, Thunderbolt Events, The Burlington, Northbrook College, Yoohoo Creative, Scerri Solutions, Pavilion Bowling Club, S & C Travel, SandersWhite, Nic and Ben’s Entertainments, Harries Coffee, Michael Jones Limited, Goring Conservative Club, Adur and Worthing Councils, Stage Door Travel, Henry House Hydrotherapy Centre, Clear Computing, Eat Food Love Food, Bennett Griffin LLP, 4Below Productions , The Ardington Hotel and Roy Bishop.

Attendees are welcome from all Members and their guests; sponsorship is available – please do let us know if you are interested - and we look forward to seeing you there!

Please click image for the newsletter detailing forthcoming work on the A27.

It is due to start from 17 September to 20 December, and involves improving the drainage system between Dankton Lane and the Adur Viaduct in Lancing, West Sussex.

We will be repairing defective pipes as well as installing new drainage.  The flooding has contributed to the deterioration of the road surface in some areas, and so drainage improvements will mitigate this.  At the same time, we will also carry out small areas of resurfacing west of Manor Road Roundabout to Busticle Lane, and some technical repairs that are needed.
