Barnaby Brown, Principal Officer of West Sussex Trading Standards will give you an idea of the breadth of work that Trading Standards is involved in, help bust a few myths and provide you with information that makes regulatory compliance a little easier. Bio on Barnaby Brown:
"I joined East Sussex Trading Standards 1998 having graduated from London University. Prior to this I worked both in the UK and France so claim to have some experience of working in the real world.

During my trading standards career,  I have worked as a Consumer Advisor; Fair Trading Officer; Food Officer, Inspector of Weights and Measures, Fraud Investigator, not to mention Team Manager. I am very lucky to have spent the last 20 years doing a job that I love.

I hope my talk will give you an idea of the breadth of work that trading standards is involved in, help bust a few myths and provide you with information that makes regulatory compliance a little easier."
