    Director of Commercial Growth - Worthing Theatres and Museum

    Worthing Theatres & Museum (WTM) is a unique arts and heritage charity with a large portfolio of distinct venues (Museum & Gallery, Connaught Theatre and Studio, Assembly Hall, Pavilion Theatre and Atrium) all positioned within the heart of Worthing in West Sussex. Our diverse and ambitious cultural offer includes: theatre, contemporary circus, dance, comedy, music, family theatre, talks, events, film, exhibitions and workshops. We manage a museum collection of national significance (costume, archaeology, fine art, toys) and present a free outdoor festival (Spin Out). 

     Director of Commercial Growth is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and development of Worthing Theatres & Museum. This post will drive the organisation’s trading subsidiary commercial revenue streams which support WTM to achieve its charitable objectives and the long term financial sustainability of the charity.

    The postholder will work closely with the Executive, Senior Management Team and Trading Board to develop and deliver on an ambitious commercial strategy to drive growth and increase profitability, maximising the potential of WTM’s multiple commercial revenue streams.

    This post will take an analytical, data-driven approach to commercial income generation, promoting growth, maintaining profit margins, setting targets, establishing procedures to meet commercial ambitions, identifying new market opportunities and diversifying the income streams to ensure that WTM achieves its significant financial targets.

    Esteem - Creative Facilitator (Contractor)

    We have an exciting opportunity for a creative facilitator to help young creative voices flourish. Supporting young people, who might not otherwise have the opportunity, to start their creative journeys and build their confidence and skills.

    Principal tasks and responsibilities

    • Provide 1-2-1 support to young adults using Esteem’s Creative Suite for creative projects. 
    • Share your skills and knowledge while allowing young people to develop their own visions.
    • Support an Esteem youth worker at monthly Creative Collective ‘Power Up’ meetings, offering guidance and adding to creative discussions around the work young people share.

    Based at: Esteem, Old School House, Shoreham-by-sea, BN43 6PA

    Contract: Subcontractor Agreement – 46 weeks per annum ongoing contract (excluding Christmas and quarterly wellbeing weeks)

    Hours: 5 hours per week

    Specific hours: The Creative Collective meets on the third Thursday of the month at 4:00pm.

    Pay: £20 per hour / £4,600 per annum (based on a 46 week period per annum) – Paid via monthly invoice

    Training: Additional 5 hours of paid onboarding training

    Interview date: To be confirmed

    Start date: As soon as possible, reliant on pre-work checks (Enhanced DBS and References)
