You’re invited to discover Sussex Bay; a vision of hope supporting nature recovery across the sea, coast and rivers along 100 miles of Sussex coastline, from Selsey in the West to Camber Sands in the East. Hidden below the water, vital habitats and the vast array of life they support, are out of sight, out of mind. Exposed to diverse and increasing pressures, these precious ecosystems - our blue natural capital – have been catastrophically damaged or lost. Restoring these ecosystems and their blue natural capital helps protect our coasts from storms, clean our waters, store carbon and support biodiversity.

Adur & Worthing Councils initiated the development of a vision for Sussex Bay, leveraging opportunities in natural capital investment to secure funding and support projects for nature restoration.

Adur and Worthing Council's Business Support Programme (BSP) is an investment package funding dedicated to supporting businesses in Adur and Worthing with events, online learning, networking and mentoring programmes that are all free.

We are trying to target 4 different types of development:

• Any businesses that are in the Pre-start or Start-up stages and want to learn the foundations
• Businesses that want to learn about Innovation, what it means and how to make your concept a
• reality
• How to be more Sustainable, such as how to reach Net Zero targets
• Learn useful Leadership and Management skills to grow your business and your employees

These strands are being delivered by our Partners at the University of Brighton, Clean Growth UK and Freedom Works. There is also a small pot of grant funding for businesses who progress through the programme which is match funded.
