We have an amazing array of schools, education settings and alternative learning providers in Worthing and Adur who are busy educating and developing the young people who may well become part of your work force.

There are great opportunities all year round for you and your business to have a presence in these settings by volunteering your time, giving talks, attending careers fairs and offering work experience. Register your interest to get involved with local providers here.

Internships & Work Experience

Davison High School's  - Book a stand at their Sustainable Careers Fair 
Thursday 30th January

Time: 9am - 1.20pm
Refreshments provided

The event will aim to showcase career opportunities in sustainability, environmental protection, and green industries to the students. It will be a great opportunity for students to hear from you, the professionals in the field and hopefully encourage them to think how their career choice can contribute to a sustainable future.

Northbrook West Durrington Campus - Progression Pathways Careers Fair 
Tuesday 5th February

Time: 4.30pm - 6pm

An exciting opportunity for local businesses to come and exhibit and chat to our SEND, inclusion and foundation students about your business and career pathways.

Our students truly appreciate the opportunity to talk to local employers about future options, what they are looking for in employees and advice, tips and knowledge that you can pass on about career paths, the industry you are in and potentially any opportunities you have.

Durrington High School -Volunteer and Network at their Careers Day 
Friday 7th February

Time: 8.40am - 3.10pm
Lunch & Refreshments provided

Volunteers needed for...
The Job Game – In pairs, students will have 2 minutes to guess your job. They will then have another 2 minutes to ask you questions. There will be an opportunity at the end for you to talk to the wider group and offer some information. It can be a current or a past job you’ve held or a wider sector you represent.


Mock Interviews – You will conduct a 5-10-minute interview with a student and complete a feedback sheet for them. Students will have had preparation time. The feedback you give will be based on their conduct, presentation, thoughts and communication. You must have real world interview experience to take part in this activity.

Worthing High School - Be part of the Big Interview 
Thursday 13th February

The Big Interview' enables Year 10 students to have direct experience of a 1:1 interview with a person outside of the school environment. They are looking for volunteers to be interviewers on Thursday 13th February at the school.
The turn out from local businesses last year was fantastic and they're hoping to match that again this year!

Northbrook Broadwater Campus - Progression and Careers Fair 
Thursday 6th March

An exciting opportunity for local businesses to come and exhibit and chat to our 16-18 students about your business and career pathways.

Our students truly appreciate the opportunity to talk to local employers about future options, what they are looking for in employees and advice, tips and knowledge that you can pass on about career paths, the industry you are in and potentially any opportunities you have. We are looking for businesses within hair, beauty, childcare, engineering, uniformed services sectors.

Northbrook Shoreham Campus - Employer Engagement Event
Wednesday 19th March

An exciting opportunity for local businesses to come and chat to our students about your business and career pathways.  We are looking for businesses within the motor and aero industries.

    Could you offer an internship for SEN students from Northbrook College

    The supported internship programme aims to provide students with meaningful opportunities to develop the skills, knowledge and experience within a professional workplace, to prepare them for work.

    The students who are on the programme have been attending the college over a period of time and have demonstrated the qualities to be successful in a work setting, with some support.
