About
Based in Patching (with a temporary office in Ferring, Worthing), Wadars is a local animal welfare charity that has been rescuing wildlife and rehoming companion animals since 1969. Our dedicated Animal Welfare Team responds to animals in distress, rescuing injured, orphaned and vulnerable wildlife and caring for cats, dogs and other companion animals until they can be reunited with their owners or find loving new homes. Each year, we rescue more than 1,400 wild animals and rehome hundreds of pets. We work closely with local vets, wildlife rehabilitation centres, volunteers and our community to give every animal the best possible chance. Wadars relies almost entirely on donations, fundraising and legacies to continue its vital work. As we look to the future, we are developing our new site in Patching to increase our capacity and help even more animals through various projects such as on site dog kennels and a dedicated small mammal unit. We have plenty of opportunities for local organisations and businesses to get involved in these projects so do get in touch for more information! By working together with local businesses and our community, we can make a lasting difference to animals in need.
