Two Sussex charities join forces for abseil challenge to create connection and reduce social isolation
Worthing-based mental health charity, West Sussex Mind, has joined forces with Together Co, the Brighton-based loneliness and social health charity, to run their first joint fundraising event.
People across Sussex are invited to join a thrilling 115ft abseil at Peacehaven Cliffs on Saturday 19 September in aid of two charities that work to reduce social isolation and improve people’s wellbeing. This is the first time that West Sussex Mind and Together Co have partnered for a fundraising event, reflecting common ground between the charities’ aims and a shared mission to support Sussex communities.

Kerrin Page, West Sussex Mind’s CEO, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Together Co for our joint abseil challenge to raise invaluable funds for our charities. It’s great to join forces with another Sussex-based charity whose values and mission align so closely with our own. We look forward to people rallying to support mental and social health and taking on an unforgettable and adventurous feat at Peacehaven Cliffs.”
Emily Daniel, Together Co’s CEO, said: “Collaboration and connection is at the heart of everything we do. By working alongside West Sussex Mind on this event, we are creating opportunities for people and organisations to come together, challenge themselves, and make a tangible difference to the lives of those who need support most.”
Entry to the abseil costs £30 per person (age 10+) with a target fundraising of £250 per person. No previous experience of abseiling is needed and all participants will be supported throughout the event by the abseiling experts at Hatt Adventures.
