West Sussex Residents Invited to Have Their Say on New Electric Vehicle Chargepoints

West Sussex County Council has launched a new public consultation seeking feedback on proposed on-street electric vehicle (EV) chargepoints across the county. The consultation, which opened on 21 September, will run for 28 days until 19 October. 

The proposals include more than 60 new dual-socket chargepoint sites across West Sussex, alongside underground infrastructure that would support further expansion of the county's public charging network in the future. The aim is to help meet increasing demand for electric vehicle charging while supporting the transition to more sustainable transport. 

According to the Council, existing parking arrangements would remain unchanged at the proposed locations. As well as commenting on the suggested sites, residents and businesses will also have the opportunity to recommend new locations for future chargepoints.

The consultation forms part of the continued development of the West Sussex Public Chargepoint Network, helping to ensure charging infrastructure is available where it is needed most. Feedback received during the consultation period will help inform future plans for the network.
