Health & Happiness to Strengthen our Economy - Waves Ahead Conference 2017

Building on last years very successful event, the Local Strategic Partnership, Waves Ahead, will once again play host to its Annual Conference.

This year's conference will focus on Health and Wellbeing to Strengthen our Economy. The event is aimed at all stakeholders who have an interest in health, be that as an individual, community or business.

The conference will cover the following issues, which affect our communities in the broadest context:

• Mental Health in the Workplace

• Local Community Networks(LCNs) ~ Integrating services around our place

• Workplace Wellbeing Charter

• How we make our places dementia friendly

FAQs

Why have I been asked to choose a table discussion?

There will be three workshop style table discussions this year. Obviously not everyone can be on the same table. Once the number has been reached you will no longer be able to choose that option and will have to choose one of the remaining two.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

The venue is located in the centre of Shoreham and within easy walking distance from Shoreham Railway Station. Closest bus stops for the Shoreham Centre are: Shoreham High Street (700 and 2). Free parking is available after 6pm in the Pay & Display Car Park adjacent to the venue. Normal tariffs apply before 6pm.

Will photos be taken at the event?

We would like to take your photograph and/or video recording of you for publicity and promotion purposes. These images may appear in printed publications, electronic publications, on websites and social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. If you do not wish to be included, please inform a member of staff on the night.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes, but only if pre-arranged. Please contact the organiser by email prior to the conference should you need to transfer or change your ticket to a different name.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, digital tickets will also be accepted.

Will food be provided at the event?

Light refreshments will be available. Unfortunately due to numbers we are unable to cater for specific allergies or intolerances. However vegetarian/vegan options will be available.
