Masterclass: Level 2 Qualification in the principles of Team Leading (VRQ)

The course will provide guidance and support to a small group of likeminded individuals all wanting to understand more about Leadership and Management in a friendly and supported environment.

Session One - Tuesday 10th September | 9:30am - 12:30pm
We will cover, Principles of team leading, understand business, understand how to communicate work-related information.
We will look at different leadership styles, team dynamics, conflict within a team, look at different stakeholders both internal and external within an organisation, implementing change within a team and communication techniques. We will cover various models and theories in this informal but interactive and fun class.
Session Two - Tuesday 1st October | 9:30am - 12:30pm
Successfully leading a team requires certain skills, we will consider your own skills and consider resources and opportunities to support your development.
We will look at your own goals and how to prepare a development plan. Identify your own learning style, look at how you can plan realistic goals and consider different feedback models.
Session Three - Tuesday 15th October | 9:30am - 12:30pm
We will cover customer service and how to resolve problems and look at developing relationships with customers.
We will identify the difference between customers’ wants, needs, expectations and satisfaction, delivering a brand promise, customer service problems and their causes. Developing relationships with other teams and building trust.
Session Four - Tuesday 5th November | 9:30am - 12:30pm
In this workshop you will learn about coaching and mentoring, including the benefits and uses within the workplace, we will explore different coaching and mentoring models and the role that learning styles play in the process. You will also learn what a mentoring agreement is, and what skills a mentor should have.
Eligibility
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification.
Students must be aged 19+ and have lived in the UK/ EU/EAA for the past three years to meet Government funding rules
Please note, this qualification is delivered over 4 workshops. In order to receive the certificate delegates must attend all 4 workshops. The course is designed to be completed within a 12-16 week period, you will also be expected to complete work in your own time.
